A few days ago, the Education Department of Liaoning Province announced the selection list of "Famous Teacher Studio of Ideological and Political Theory Course in universities of Liaoning Province" and the selection list of "Young and Middle-aged Backbone Teachers of Ideological and Political Theory Course in universities of Liaoning Province" in 2020. The teaching team of Professor Ai Zhiqiang, dean of the School of Marxism of our university, was successfully selected into "Famous Teacher Studio of Ideological and Political Theory Course in universities of Liaoning Province". At the same time, Professor Ai Zhiqiang was rated as "Young and Middle-aged Backbone Teacher of Ideological and Political Theory Course in universities of Liaoning Province".

The selection and construction of the Famous Teacher Studio for the Ideological and Political Theory Course in universities is an important measure for the Education Department of Liaoning Province to thoroughly implement the spirit of the important speech delivered by our general secretary Xi Jinping at the Forum of Teachers of Ideological and Political Theory Course. It is also another new breakthrough in deepening the reform and innovation of the ideological and political theory course in the new era. The selection and training of young and middle-aged backbone teachers of ideological and political courses in universities is an important measure for the provincial Department of Education to further strengthen the construction of young and middle-aged teachers of ideological and political theory courses in universities. After the procedures of personal application, recommendation from universities and expert evaluation, 15 studios in Liaoning province were rated as Famous Teacher Studio of Ideological and Political Theory Course, and 40 teachers were rated as Young and Middle-aged Backbone Teacher of Ideological and Political Theory Course.

Over the years, with the great attention and strong support of the Party committee and administration of our university, Professor Ai Zhiqiang has led the team to actively carry out the teaching reform of ideological and political theory course, pay close attention to the hot issues and difficult problems concerned by students, and formed a distinctive teaching mode, which has achieved fruitful teaching results.

The award of the Famous Teacher Studio and Backbone Teacher not only highly recognized the ideological and political theory education and teaching work of our university, but also provided a broader platform for promoting the reform and innovation of ideological and political course in the new era.
